The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, often shortened to NICE, have produced guidance on mental health and behavioural conditions. This guidance is designed to help people who may be experiencing these conditions and to help them to understand their care and treatment in the NHS in England and Wales. Though the guidance is written for the person with these conditions they may also be useful for their families or carers or for anyone with an interest.
Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) use NICE guidance to ensure that we provide the best quality care available. The healthcare watchdog, Care Quality Commission (CQC) will check how we use NICE guidance as one measure of how well we deliver care.
LYPFT are compliant with NICE approved medicine treatments, see here for details.
